What is the difference between resin-bound and resin-bonded?
In a resin-bound system, aggregate is mixed with resin before being trowelled onto the base. Resin-bonded surfacing has resin applied first, with aggregate scattered onto it. The systems look and perform differently.
Can resin be laid over an existing driveway?
Only where the existing base is suitable. It must be stable, clean, correctly drained and able to carry the expected load. If not, the base needs repair or replacement first.
Is resin-bound surfacing permeable?
It can be permeable when installed as part of a suitable permeable build-up. The base and drainage design matter as much as the resin surface itself.
How long before vehicles can use a resin driveway?
